After the German Heimtextil fair, customers ask us what are the trends and what is new in the field of home textiles and interior decoration. As it is one of the world's largest home fairs and there are many exhibitors here, it is difficult to make a definite conclusion.
However, we are convinced that simplicity is beauty and magic. In classic German manufacturers such as GERSTER or NEUTEX, monochromatic fabrics dominate. The new collections of BLACKOUT shading agents look less artificial and are also very pleasant to the touch.
GERSTER continues to act as a model of elegance itself, with fabric colors predominantly in shades of gray to anthracite, or in shades of brown to cream or white, and these decorative fabrics are applicable to all types of interiors.
NEUTEX has a slightly more colorful offer and we can offer a wide range of new fabrics in a variety of colors and designs. This year again we offer light decorative fabrics that look very airy and light compared to blackout fabrics. Curtains made of these materials complete the color comfort of the interior. Color trends are similar, with gray shades complementing turquoise, salmon, pink, or greenish. Monochromatic fabrics with interwoven décor, for example with a leaf pattern, like PALOMA, also look very elegant.
The next chapter is printed decorative fabrics with various patterns, which will certainly find their place in your interior. Lovers of rustic or provence style certainly can not imagine their dining room without curtain or tablecloth with floral patterns. Fabrics with roses or fabrics with lavender remain the top choice in floral decors. Equally popular is the hydrangea motif and various exotic flowers. In prints this year appear trends, which in Bytem we call the so-called JUNGLE style. We offer fabric patterned palm trees, monkeys and other exotic. Of course, it is necessary to adapt such a decoration to the whole room and to accommodate the whole design completely, as they say from the floor. It certainly takes a bit of courage, but the result can be overwhelming, in a positive sense.
There are clear rules as to the composition of the material. Customers looking for easy maintenance prefer the choice of high quality polyester fabrics, lovers of natur style have a choice of cotton or its admixtures. However, it is a fact that today many manufacturers are able to convert polyester yarn to such a quality that you can easily confuse it with pure natural materials. For customers who want to be "natur" at any cost, even if they have to iron the curtains and cloth regularly, cotton is the obvious choice, or still modern linen, which is once again in the field of home textile.
